Maroba is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who collectively believe in the Vision, Mission and Values that enrich the lives of our residents, their families and the community.

Our Board are from a range of professional backgrounds, bringing together a diverse set of skills, including financial, management, leadership, development, strategic and legal.

Viv Allanson has dedicated her whole life to caring for people in need. Commencing her Registered Nurse training as a Student Nurse at the Royal Newcastle Hospital in 1975, Viv enjoyed an extensive career at the hospital before joining Greenhills Nursing Home in 1991 and Maroba in 1994 as Director of Nursing. Viv has gained extensive experience of the Aged Care and Business sector through Director positions with various local, state, national and international organisations and was offered the role of CEO at Maroba in October 2000.

Tracy Walker has enjoyed a 29 year career in aged care working for small and large aged care facilities in operational roles. Tracy joined Maroba in October 2017 and has responsibility for the Clinical, Hospitality, Spiritual Care, Allied Health and Property teams.

Louise Adnum joined Maroba in October 2018 and has responsibility for Finance, Business Services, Education, Quality and our training arm, Smart Training And Consulting Group. Louise has over 26 years experience in the aged and home care sector gained by working for large and small organisations.
