Information regarding the Federal Government election Saturday 3rd May 2025

Greetings Residents and Families,

Re: Information regarding the Federal Government election Saturday 3rd May 2025

Maroba has received information from the NSW Electoral Commission with a reminder to residents who are on the Electoral role that voting in the upcoming Local Government elections is compulsory.

Residents who are registered voters have the following options available to enable voting.

  1. If you are already registered as a General postal voter with the Australian Electoral Commission, then your postal vote pack will be sent out automatically (no need to do anything further).

  1. Residents can apply for a one-off postal vote (if you are not registered as a General Postal voter) – note you must apply before 9 September 2024

  1. If able, you can visit a local polling place on Election Day – 3rd May 2025

It is the responsibility of residents, with family support if required, to cast their vote (if a registered voter) in the upcoming election.  A voter may choose an assistant (such as a friend or family member) to help complete the ballot papers and envelope according to voter’s instructions but the voter must sign the envelope or make a mark as a signature. Unfortunately voting will not be available onsite @ Maroba.

We hope this update will assist you to exercise your right to vote!

Kind regards
